I didn't nip at you... I merely explained my reasons why I am already directly connected to my ISP on that machine (the machine with the torrent manager is the server hooked directly too the internet)

You on the other hand came back with
"I said "try". As in temporarily. Whatever, live with your crap speed then."

That is a nip... mine was a 3 part explanation of my scenario never once commenting on your status as a compitent individual.

As for the scenario in question, it seems to of rectified itself. I believe it was just the tracker, because now for no unbenounced reason to me (I altered nothing on my computer) it gets 4 times the speed. I just found it strange that 3 different torrents were doing it to me.

If you saturate your upload speed it will clog up both sides. I don't know what your upload speed is, but with my ISP if I were uploading at 30K/sec I would have poor download speeds as well. So either lower the upload speed in your BT client or use a program like Netlimiter to forcefully throttle your BT client back.

You need to try to get into private trackers. Public trackers are crappy.

I use µTorrent I have my upload set to 15 and it always maxes my DL speed out.
