The download content sounds great iv been trying to track down ikaruga for a while now on gamecube but iv failed sadly and a Monkey island remake 0___0 im a sad little point and click fanboy...
Also Bioshock's basically my only exception i cant stand most FPS to me they just come across as full of testosterone induced "manly Men" with big guns and no scripting or storyline what so ever.
But thanks for the additions, Mirrors Edge seems really good and Dead Space looks pretty awesome too thanks!
Though there is the daunting issue of my 360 dying -____-

Re: Buying a 360
Yeah- deadspace is pretty fantastic. Other than mass effect, it was probably the best single player experience i've had on the xbox. The story could've had a better ending, but it is still pretty epic, and judged versus other games it is fantastic.MaliceValentine wrote:Dead Space looks pretty awesome too thanks!
There isn't really anything like freezing a guy and chopping limbs off him.
If you have surround sound, the game will enter a whole new experience for you too. There is a huge amount of ambient noise that will really raise your stress level and make you twitchy while you play.
Re: Buying a 360
This was a big reason I didn't get an X360. The biggest reason was the lack of free online gaming, but failure rate is something I think retro gamers seriously need to look at. I've already had 3 friends have their Jasper units die on them, so the issue certainly hasn't been 'fixed'.MaliceValentine wrote: Though there is the daunting issue of my 360 dying -____-
Most of the games that have been mentioned are multi-platform. Bayonetta, Brutal Legend, Splatterhouse, Bioshock, Eternal Sonata, Sonic Unleashed, Mirror's Edge, Final Fantasy XIII, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, Dead Space, Ninja Gaiden II - I mean, it seems like almost every game mentioned thus far is also on the PS3.
Why exactly are you excluding the PS3 altogether? You say it is too pricy, but have you taken into consideration all the extra stuff you may have to buy for your Xbox 360? When it came time for me to decide, I realized the PS3 was actually going to be cheaper than a X360, based on my situation.
Things like a 120 GB hard-drive ($159), a Wireless Network Adapter ($99), Xbox Live Subscription ($49) - all this stuff will build very quickly. You may need them, you may not - just be sure of what you are getting into.

Guys, quit shitting up every thread and stick to the topic at hand.
Re: Buying a 360
Alright, well, if I were to get a X360, here are the games I would get. (Assuming I didn't have a PS3 or capable PC.)
Grand Theft Auto IV
Bioshock
Orange Box
Braid
Street Fighter IV
Gears of War 2
Burnout Paradise
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD
BlazBlue
Ninja Gaiden II
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved
King of Fighters XII
Castle Crashers
The Darkness
That's about all I can think of off the top of my head. Of course, a few of those are shooters, but I still think they are worth playing through regardless. I'd only get Gears of War 2 if you are looking for a good co-op shooter, though.

Gears of War is the bane of my existence its my 15 year old brothers life -____-
I don't know it just didn't do it for me, to me there was a lack of story and the whole were "manly testosterone filled men with big guns,no color except brown, greys and cleft chins" also didn't help, im quite picky about character design its why i love games like Killer 7 or Sonic >__>
Though you are right about the costs im thinking of the Ps3 perhaps now i did some calculations and its like 100 extra for the ps3 and the onlines apparently free =D

Price cuts should be coming this holiday season so its worth it to wait.MaliceValentine wrote:Gears of War is the bane of my existence its my 15 year old brothers life -____-

Yeah, I didn't care much for Gears of War's characters or story either, but co-op was fun. The reason I prefer GoWII over the original is simply because the co-op is better. To me, that's all it has going for it.MaliceValentine wrote:Gears of War is the bane of my existence its my 15 year old brothers life -____-

But, of course, I'm a big social gamer. I love playing games that I can play with other people.
And yeah, PS3's online is free. If they were to ever change to a subscription-based service (I've actually heard a few people suggest this as a way to reduce the cost of the PS3), I would sell my PS3 immediately out of spite, and I know plenty more who would follow suit. It was seriously a huge reason why I went with the PS3.
