Turning off emails

I have been trying to turn off the zillions of notification emails I get, especially due to certain topics that have had dozens of responses within hours lately. I woke up and had 23 new emails waiting for me on phone. Anyhoo... I see that I can turn off the features that let other users email me and admins email me. I just want to turn the email notification about forum replies and not other people trying to contact me. Or are these the options that I need to uncheck?

User Control Panel ------- Manage Subscriptions
Not sure how you're subscribing to them by accident.

Go to the user control panel, board preferences, edit posting details, and click NO to notify replies by default.
