Best way to convert VHS to to mp4

What is the easiest and cheapest way to convert VHS to MP4? I was thinking of using some sort of USB RCA capture card. What other software will I need to record it? I'm using ubuntu if that makes any difference.

I use the dazzle. Use it for capturing video game as well. Works easy enough. Not sure how professional you want it to be.

The secret is being a douchebag, exercising and showing off your Nikes. Converting VHS follows from that.
