A zelda Nintendo 64 question
I didn't play the games as a kid, but I decided to pick up Majora's Mask a while ago, and I've got to say, I don't enjoy it at all. Does ocarina of time have bigger maps, more enemies, and less boring-ness?

Re: A zelda Nintendo 64 question
The game engine is pretty much the same. Other than that, Ocarina of Time has a much different feel based on almost everything else. The world is a bit bigger, there are more levels (the design of which is also much different), the mechanics are different (no 3 day system), and the overall experience is different. I definitely wouldn't write off Ocarina of Time just because you disliked Majora's Mask.
Re: A zelda Nintendo 64 question
I can't get into majora's mask no matter how hard i try. On paper it should be a great game, but i just get bored.Gooseberrysoda wrote:I didn't play the games as a kid, but I decided to pick up Majora's Mask a while ago, and I've got to say, I don't enjoy it at all. That said, i love OoT. It holds up. You should check that one out.
Re: A zelda Nintendo 64 question
I loved OoT but despised Majora's Mask.
Give OoT a try it is by far the superior game.

Oot is way better. Majora's Mask is uhhh alright I guess but it definitely feels more rushed, and has a weird feeling to it. I too, myself couldn't get into Majora's Mask. Oot is waaaay better. Bigger game, classic Zelda story. All around awesome. Get it.

Re: A zelda Nintendo 64 question
I'll have to start playing both of them sometime soon. I'm currently playing the Minish Cap which is pretty good thus far.
Re: A zelda Nintendo 64 question
baring the classics (legend of zelda nes, and link to the past) minish cap is my favorite. If you can, check out the two zelda oracle gameboy color games. Those have a similar feel to minish cap in that they do a good job to break the mold of what you think a zelda game should be. Not quite as polished, but still worth checking out.gtmtnbiker wrote:I'll have to start playing both of them sometime soon. I'm currently playing the Minish Cap which is pretty good thus far.

OoT and MM are about as similar as LoZ and Adventures of Link.
You should enjoy OoT much, much more.

Re: A zelda Nintendo 64 question
trust me Oot is really good. i like Majora's mask and all but its a very complex game compared to Oot (that isnt to say its easy because it can get hard). the world is slightly larger. and its alot easier to get into than its sequal. well it wont disappoint you.

Re: A zelda Nintendo 64 question
How come everyone hates Majora's Mask? I loved it.
