So, just because someone is dead you can't speak the truth about them if it happens to be negative?

You can do whatever you like. Of course when it is you in the casket I doubt you will want the whole world bashing you for your dirty laundry.

Well, when I am in a casket I doubt the whole world will even care outside of my family and friends. If I die because I was on some sort of drug I have a pretty good feeling people who knew me would be talking about how I just how stupid I was to do that to myself. That would be a part of my life and my death. If I didn't want that, then maybe I shouldn't do those things that ended up killing me. I would of made those decisions and just because I'm dead there is no reason to ignore how I lived my life. Some people might learn from it actually.

You have a lot to learn about life my friend. I'm not throwing that out as a knock or anything. Anyway, if you want to be judgmental it is certainly your choice. Sometimes you have to be the one on the receiving end of the stick to really learn a lesson.

I'm not being judgemental. The guy did coke, what is the beef with calling him a cokehead? He did the drug, it was found in his system, they are saying it lead to his death. How it is classless to point out a fact about someone? Because they are dead? Niether you nor me knew Billy Mayes, he could of been the best guy in the world or he could of been an a-hole. All we know is he sold oxiclean, had a sweet beard and did coke. My best friends dad just died, he was in his mid fifties like Billy Mays, my best friend is pissed off at his dad because he wouldn't stop drinking and now his son isn't going to grow up with a grandpa. Is it not "classy" for him to live in reality and call his dad an alcoholic?

Well, I'd say that it is his right to say whatever he wants since it was his Dad and it affected his life directly. I just think it is kind of a dick move to go around talking crap about someone who has passed away and who you have not even met. I would be willing to bet that Billy Mays' loved ones would probably be hurt by him being called a "cokehead".

To say things that could hurt grieving people for no other reason than entertainment seems like a shitty thing to do in my book.

What did Billy Mays or any other person ever do to you directly that entitles you to say anything disparaging about them? Whatever your beliefs he has surely paid for his mistakes. Maybe he should be allowed to rest in peace.

Just a note: This isn't just about Billy Mays..I would feel the same about anyone.

I fail to see how it relates. Hitler was responsible for the death and torture of millions of people. I guess if you can't have the common sense to know that someone doing some cocaine and someone murdering millions of people aren't the same thing...well I can't find a way to relate.
