RIP John Hughes
Re: RIP John Hughes
John Hughes was definitely one of those director's whose movies touched so many people, myself included. I think for me, my two favorites are Sixteen Candles and Uncle Buck. Everytime I watch those two movies, it brings me back to my youth. The 80s were just so much fun. >>> /sigh

Here are just a few of some of his greats:
Home Alone
Uncle Buck
Christmas Vacation/European Vacation/Vacation
Pretty in Pink
Great Outdoors
Planes Trains and Automobiles
Breakfast Club
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Mr. Mom
Weird Science
Sixteen Candles
Like I said earlier, he defined what a comedy was in the 80's.

Re: RIP John Hughes
It's funny because I seriously didn't know who he was and he directed some of my favorite movies.Luke wrote:You must be high on pot. Oh, wait....Budsmoka wrote:Over rated if you ask me

Re: RIP John Hughes
I'm not sure how many of those he directed, but he wrote all of them. Writing was his thing, he was just a natural.

That's too bad. I loved Uncle Buck.

Re: RIP John Hughes
Without John Hughes Jay & Silent Bob would never have been in Illinois, and Bethany's journey in Dogma would never have started.
Thus, we have John Hughes to thank for stopping the ending of all existance.
