John Hughes was definitely one of those director's whose movies touched so many people, myself included. I think for me, my two favorites are Sixteen Candles and Uncle Buck. Everytime I watch those two movies, it brings me back to my youth. The 80s were just so much fun. >>> /sigh

It's funny because I seriously didn't know who he was and he directed some of my favorite movies.

I'm not sure how many of those he directed, but he wrote all of them. Writing was his thing, he was just a natural.

Without John Hughes Jay & Silent Bob would never have been in Illinois, and Bethany's journey in Dogma would never have started.

Thus, we have John Hughes to thank for stopping the ending of all existance.
