Well, you all can keep complaining as far as I'm concerned because it seems like since all the L4D2 protests, there have been more L4D updates than ever before. That might be coincidence, but I think they've been busting their butts to prove they'll make good on L4D1 to get more people to buy L4D2.

I would like to see more work on the first Left4Dead, but I think they deserve some props now for showing some movement towards what people have been promised would happen with this game.

What I don't understand is it seems the people who are complaining are a minority. Don't these people see that this game is clearly unfinished? Compare it to the likes of TF2 (at launch even) and you can see that Left 4 Dead is nowhere that kind of quality.

This is just another game that was rushed out onto consoles to make a quick buck and the PC is an after though. As always. I really hate this generation for stifling progression of PC games. When did the PC stop being the primary platform for development?

I mean, the 360 version has a matchmaking system, and the PC doesn't, it even seems to plays better online. No random disconnects at the start of rounds, which coincidentally happens 90% of the time for me on the PC. It boots me out and then I can't get back in because it says I'm still connected to the server and there are no slots or it just throws a generic error up if there are free slots available. I have to wait several minutes before I can rejoin a game, often to the sight of my team leaving me behind or putting up a kick vote for being inactive. FFFFFUUUUUU!!!!

Matchmaking just does not belong on PC, and it certainly has no right replacing the good old reliable server browser. Any time of day, I can play a perfectly stable, populated game of TF2, because I keep all the fugtf2.com servers fav'd.

If I want to do the same in L4D, to this fucking day, it fights me every step of the way. Steam client itself still doesnt read L4D servers or even have them in the drop down. In L4D itself, using the console command openserverbrowser, the window conflicts with the game in countless ways and for some reason still obstructs other popups from functioning, so long as its up. Fucking retarded.

^What do you mean? There's no Orange Box on consoles! (Gaze)

L4D is the black sheep of Valve. TF2 is their most valued treasure. Make of that your own.
