Onimusha 2 (Novice review)

Post by OldSchool_Boy »

You've been warned.

Plot:Nobunaga is starting shit and messed up when he destroyed Yagyu village. He messed up because Jubei Yagyu dont like his village getting destroyed.

Pros: What caught me off guard was the added rpg element. You meet 4 characters throughout the game and certain events either occur or dont depending on how much interaction you give to a certain character. This basically means giving them whatever they want but in return you also recieve something helpful as well. The story contains twists and such and is fleshed out way more than i described.Fighting could get sometimes hectic due to my only problem with the game.

Cons:The controls. Why didn't they utilize the analog stick? It has the same control scheme as the ps1 resident evils. I hate it. Death was always on my shoulder in this game because of it.

OverallIf you can somehow manage the controls in some way then give this a go. Its on the cheap to so thats always a +.

A very good consolidated review for the 4 people who haven't played it yet. Just kidding man thanks for your input on a great "even if its a little dated" game.

Onimusha 2 is the first one I played and remains my favourite. Don't know why, but it's probably nothing more than having been the first one I played. I also liked the controls because I played so many games like that on ps1. I am more comfortable using the dpad for most capcom games like onimusha and resident evil.
