It's also been pushed back to September, according to Gamestop. Wow, just 2 more delays, and I may have it in my hands before Christmas. Or maybe I should just cough up 70 bucks for the import and be done with it.

Any thoughts on this game?

Been thinking about scooping it up, wanted to see what other Racketeers had to say about it. The gameplay vids look enticing, but it's unfortunate about the lack of variety in the ship department.

If you have Aces and want some more shmup goodness, get Mushihimesama Futari, dagnabit! It's region free and they won't release any more games region free unless it does well. Barring that, I find Raiden 4 to be a bit humdrum, but worth the price of entry if you don't have any other shooter options. Aces was the better purchase. I'll purchase most stateside shooters, however, just to make sure they keep bringing them here.

I was debating between Aces and IV ... Aces seems to be more bang for your buck. But I was drawn to IV as well since I haven't tried the game at all yet.

I've read about and watched gameplay vids of Mushihimesama Futari, not sure if I'd totally appreciate the play style. However, I was happy to see a title released region free and hope the game sells well.

Ignoring the price difference, I've found myself having more fun with Aces vs. IV. With Aces you get a larger selection of craft and so can more easily find one that suits you. With IV you get one ship (two more with DLC) and it ends up being more restrictive. I've also found the bullets on IV are a bit harder to see (and others have mentioned the same thing on the GameFAQs boards).

I'd recommend getting Aces and Mushihimesama Futari.
