selling off parts of the collection

Post by silverback »

I can put it off no longer, the time has come to downsize.

2 adults one baby and another baby on the way means its time to make some space.

So I'm having to sell off stuff.

Its really hard because you think I should keep this as its better than that one but thats not the boxed one etc.

Its amazing how much stuff you get when you want a certain game and it just so happens to have a console and some other games attached to it

Under our bed, under the babies cot, in the linen cupboards etc are filled with games and consoles.

Its easy at the moment as its just duplicates I'm selling off, no need for 3 megadrives, or 4 PS1's etc

But I think I may end up selling the stuff off where I have backwards compatibilty, like get rid of both my gamecubes and keep the Wii, all PS1's keep the PS2 etc.

Anyone else had to sell up their gear?

I'm UK PAL stuff.

Got it on ebay as most of the users here are in the USA otherwise it would have been here first.

Luckily for me I decided not to have children. You can call me selfish for favoring enjoyment/freedom/money over children but there are enough people out there picking up the slack for me, so the human race will live on.

I have to say my daughter is the best thing thats ever happened to me. Wouldn't change her for the world.

They will have plenty of consoles to play on when they get up a bit but only after I tire them out on cycles and walks etc! Games for rainy days

I can see selling doubles of consoles. I have before. I at one time had 6 PS1's and 5 SNES's. I made a decent amount of money selling the extras and picked up stuff I would use.

I would have loved to have a dad that was a game collector when I was a kid.

I'm must be so off because when I found out I was going to be a father I double my efforts to collect. Because now I have a second player. (wife hates games)

Plus it's an investment. Do you know how much my complete Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (GEN) is worth now? And I have two!

About £10 for both copies? It's dirt cheap over here still. Guess us Brits are either fickle or not dumbasses who get caught up in hysteria.
