Need a bit of help wanna get into games as a business
Re: Need a bit of help wanna get into games as a business
Yup by giving people half of what I sell a game for in trade I will always come out on top on trade ins.

I always say that independent game stores should give at least 60% to the customer once they're large enough to support themseles as a means to offer a competitive and engaging trade system that keeps customers coming back.Budsmoka wrote:Yup by giving people half of what I sell a game for in trade I will always come out on top on trade ins.
Also small and independent game stores should never allow anyone to trade in annual sports games (Madden, NBA etc...) as it's a surefire way to lose money when those titles just end up sitting on the shelf.
Other sports games though such as NBA Jam/Street or Virtua Tennis which come out once every few years or so are fine as all of their versions are usually vastly different and can stand on their own in addition to sell on a consistent basis.

I'd give them 25 cents for those games, pull the cover art out, and sell them as replacement cases for 50 cents.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:I always say that independent game stores should give at least 60% to the customer once they're large enough to support themseles as a means to offer a competitive and engaging trade system that keeps customers coming back.Budsmoka wrote:Yup by giving people half of what I sell a game for in trade I will always come out on top on trade ins.

Re: Need a bit of help wanna get into games as a business
kingmohd, some people just dont care. I was selling stuff for a friend and when I could not find a buyer for his Atari games, all pretty common 2600/7800 titles, I just bit it and traded them to a store for .25 a pop. He wanted the money quickly, and it was not worth the hassle to put them on Ebay.

And I'll give them 2-3 most kids and parents will trade stuff in an so will a lot of adults I mean just look at game stop.kingmohd84 wrote:why would u trade ur game for 10 cent?
