Game organizing software?

Post by Abras »

Hi, I'm looking for (preferably free) software to help make organizing my games collection a little easier. No, I don't mean a rom organizer but real games. I've seen stuff like that for movies, but not games. I checked downloads.com and came up dry... Can anyone help me? (I hope I gave enough information...)

rather than a downloaded software, I prefer an online database.
I have access to it no matter what computer I am on, or if I am away from home.

there are other online databases out there as well

I'd go for an offline program, but I have yet to find one :(

Not sure if it supports older games, but if you have a mac:

Also, part of my "top-secret" project is to have support for organizing your game collection.
It's just in planning phases right now, but you might hear more soon...

very cool racketboy! its a daunting task to have every single game ever made in a single database, I have noticed a few holes in RF generations database.

I think the ability to add personal ratings of games and reviews would be helpful, and help maintain that community feel =)

Well, I would probably start with the basics, but I would allow established users like yourself to add to the database.
And I plan on having ratings/rankings from other sites/magazines plus the users here.
I am also working on developing an algorithm to recommend games based on your gaming tastes.

I'm sure it will be far from perfect in the beginning, but I'm excited about the possibilities.
