Sounds really awesome.the7k wrote:Ani-Mayhem
I'd like to see the card game "Ani-Mayhem" turned into a strategy RPG video game a la Super Robot Wars/Namco x Capcom. Preferably modernized to include newer anime series.
A strategy RPG featuring Tenchi Muyo, El Hazard, Project A-Ko, Bubblegum Crisis, Ranma 1/2, and Dragonball Z. (The original series' that were represented in Ani-Mayhem.) Throw in some other classic "Gotta have 'ems", like Sailor Moon, Slayers, Gunsmith Cats, Cowboy Bebop and Fist of the North Star. Add in some more modern flavors like One Piece (A popular shonen series that I actually like in this day and age? It's gotta be in!), Berserk (Can that be considered recent? I mean - it's still going on... kinda - all I know is I wanna have Guts and Kenshiro in the same army), Melancholy of Haruhi (perfect way to kick it all off, considering all it would take is Haruhi learning of the rest of the characters to make them 'exist'), and whatever else is popular but still has merit...
Awesome, but... why didn't you mention MidEvil?the7k wrote:Sony Smash Bros rip-off
Try as I might, I just can't get into Rag Doll Kung Fu. It was a fun diversion, but it is a pretty poor substitute for Smash Bros.
I'd like to see Sony actually make their own Smash Bros rip-off. They certainly have enough characters at this point. The Jak and Daxter series, the Ratchet and Clank series, the Sly Cooper series, Little Big Planet, Mod Nation Racers, EyePet, PaRappa the Rapper, Um Jammer Lammy, Toro - heck, why limit it to the mascot characters? God of War, Uncharted, InFamous... and hey, why limit it to Sony owned characters? Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy VII-XII, Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot and others are still heavily associated with the PlayStation brand.
If Sony could put out a fun Smash Bros clone with at least half of these properties represented, they'd have my money.
And if they do a Sega version, can you imagine it? If the power of every nerdgasm it caused could be harvested as an alternative power source, we could power the planet for ETERNITY.
And I'm also thinking about an idea for a "Kingdom Hearts"-like concept with Cartoon Network and a developer TBD. It would have the current IPs (Ben 10, Flapjack, Chowder, Johnny Test, etc), as well as the old-school IPs (Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, etc) and classic pre-CN IPs owned by Time Warner such as Hanna-Barbarra(sic?) properties (Johnny Quest, Herculoids, etc) and maybe even a Looney Toons world.
Or better yet... a Diablo-esque FusionFall spin-off (like Champions of Norrath was to Everquest).
