Heavenly Sword - Any similar games?

Hi folks,

once again I'm seeking wisedom in this font of infinite gaming knowledge to get answers to that one question that troubles my weary mind these days: Are there some good games which are similar to Heavenly Sword?

I had a blast playing this, and now I'm looking for games with a similar gameplay and atmosphere. It would be great if you guys could recommend some titles.

To be fair, God of War was first. The upcoming Castlevania game (Lords of Shadow) looks like it's going to have gameplay similar to these as well.

ninja gaiden, god of war, devil may cry, any modern day beat em up really.

Heavenly sword is one of my favourite ps3 games. It's basically God of War with a different skin. The voice acting and characters in that game were incredible.

For some reason, I really liked Heavenly Sword (despite it's length, although it was the perfect rental) and hated God of War. Perhaps it was simply that I'd prefer to play as Nariko over Kratos.

Rygar for PS2 is pretty good and I think it is the game that kick of this whole trend.

Haven't played Rygar, but the first "Modern Beat 'em up/Hack 'n Slash" game I've ever played was Rising Zan: Samurai Gunman for the PS1.

Ryger was a good game. I wish Kratos would get the ability to manually swing his enemies around with the analog stick like Rygar can. The story and voice acting in the game was embarrassingly awful though.
