What Other Stuff Have You Collected?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

You gotta discriminate between the collector and the pack-rat on this one.

I have over a thousand books -- virtually every book since I was 10 years old. But I'm not actively collecting them -- I simply don't discard them when done. That's pack-rat mentality.

The same could probably be said about my game library -- outside of the the slimDVD cases, I don't really collect. I'm not trying to make a nice shelf with all original Dreamcast games, or anything close to that.

Boardgames, however, I do collect -- several walls in the finished basement are hidden behind shelves, themselves, all caving in under the weight of so many pieces of cardboard and wooden bits.

I also collect boardgames

some games workshop, some euro games and other random games

I have a fair Gamebook collection

(kinda like choose your own adventure books, only you roll dice for combat, and actually get to kill stuff heh)

I love online databases to keep track of my collections, I have my video games here

Duran Duran laserdiscs and bootleg CD's

Post-apocalyptic films (The Day After, Threads, etc)

Briefly flirted with Schick Injector razors

At one point I had over 100 gigs of porn, but these days I could amass that in a matter of a week, tops

But at the end of the day I don't care about sex, or razors, or Simon LeBon, or family, or my health. Only Sega matters.

I've never actually "collected" anything other than games, but I did buy hot wheels and various action figures when I was younger. And LEGOs! God, I love LEGOs. Greatest toy in the world, honestly.

Bottles, comics, figures, books, cards, magazines, board games, worthless credit hours, ticket stubs, records, pets. More I can't recall.

Well over the years I've lost so much of my nostalgia that it makes me sick thinking about it. Boxes of G1 Transformers which I plan on replacing someday through winning a huge ebay auction. Legos, dammit i lost all my legos too!

The stuff I've actually been collecting for awhile now is Valiant Comics. They're not terribly valuable but I get them graded and have a few boxes of them in CGC 9.8 condition which makes them pretty valuable. Other than that I just collect Kids, have 4.

Magic: The Gathering. So time consuming...

Also dabbled a bit into Mage Knight. None of my friends had the attention span to have that habit last very long.
