I think that's the consensus of pretty much everyone who has managed to get through that game.fox099 wrote:I just beat Odin Sphere! What a difficult, aggravating, yet enjoyable game!
What RPG are you playing right now?

Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
Just hopped back on Dragon Warrior VII. I needed a break from Eternal Sonata and Legend of Dragon.
Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
Just started playing Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior) VIII on the PS2, enjoying it so far, very retro feel to it, have had the game for quite a long time but dont like to play too many RPG's at the one time.
Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
Playing Drakensang: The Dark Eye. Pretty, really complex character creation (my favorite feature of RPGs...), lots to do, bad translation. Fun so far.
Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
I just started Wild Arms 3 (which is ok, but all it really does is make me want to play the first 2 even more, as they were far better), and Black Sigil. What the fuck were they thinking when they made the encounter rate as high as it is in that game?
I hope to try cross edge next, but I'm still on the fence from the poor reviews, though it seems like a game I'd enjoy.

I'm just now getting around to playing some RPGs. Right now I'm playing FFXII, but plan to play Crono Trigger, Odin Sphere, and the MegTen series.

I've been enjoying Cross Edge so far. There hasn't been much of a story, which is to be expected when it's a massive crossover. The battle system is interesting, it's similar to an SRPG in that positioning is important and you perform all your actions, end your turn, then the opponent goes.dlmvii wrote:I hope to try cross edge next, but I'm still on the fence from the poor reviews, though it seems like a game I'd enjoy.

Finally found a working translated ROM for Live A Live (all the others blew up when I patched them). best RPG Square never released in the states. Finished the Ancient China and Modern Day chapters, on Old West.

Currently focused on FFX mainly damn Seymour Flux is hard as balls ,a bit into star ocean TTEOT gonna finish it next, and just stated xenosaga 1 gonna play it after star ocean. On top of that I'm playing metal gear solid 3.
Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
I just finished Earthbound and it kicked ass. I actually had to force myself to play the game in smaller doses towards the end because I didn't want it to be over. It was like reading a good book, and the dialogue had me laughing out loud at times.
The next RPG I play better be really good, because it's gonna have the huge shadow of a Starman looking over it the whole time.
I also played through Chrono Trigger again recently. It's becoming something of a semi-annual ritual for me these days. I always go back to it.
Still, I can't remember the last time I've been this productive with gaming.
