my highschool might have a cobra commander. its one of my friends nicknames.........actually his full nickname is chancellor reverend cobra commander(its a long weird story). I'm hoping to somehow get his name like that in the yearbook at least.........but its probably a fat chance. people have no sense of humor these days ....

General Chaos wrote:Humidity is the key word there. I grew up in Texas and it gets damn hot there, but in the Dallas region it is relatively dry compared to many of the southern states.
Where I live (this city), temperatures are very, very high all year (year average of 80°F) and very high relative air humidity (year average of 79%, looked it up). One time, I kid you not, I knew a guy whose TV had stopped turning on. He then opened the case, got a hairdryer and started to blow off the accumulated water inside. I don't know if it actually had anything to do with it, but the TV turned on afterwards.

(Oh, and congratulations to OP.)

Oh, I'm aware that it's worse in other places. One of my coworkers moved back to Tucson to be with his family and he used to tell me stories. But I'm used to my decadant ways from back when I lived in Chicago and everyone in town had air conditioning. Summer was something you got to experience on your terms, not something that was forced on you.

I finished college and I'm waiting on my Diploma to arrive.

Aside from that, I'm working 2 jobs, and still I'm not making enough money. Living in NY is tough. Everything is expensive. Especially engagement rings. :(

Also trying to stay alive in this damned heat wave in NY. Its getting to a point where I think I should walk around in a skirt and tank top. I'd rather be cold and bundled.
I'm back!
