yup... I can definitively say that i had no idea what i was getting into with how much that fucker cost. I'd be in a house if my student loans weren't such a bitch. Still- a good school.

I've been trying to avoid death by heat exhaustion. Fucking Seattle and its total lack of air conditioning in residences. It's going to be mid-90's all week and my portable AC unit just can't keep up.

Congratulations, you now know something of what it's like to live in the South. Only imagine that every day for the past three months, and at least for another month. Along with the humidity.

I spent some time in Savannah one summer and decided to go for a run, thinking it would be no worse than my usual exercise in the Texas heat. A block later I was drenched and ducking into a local diner for a slice of pecan pie and some tea. Turns out that was a lot more enjoyable anyway.

As for what I've been up to--it seems I've over committed myself this summer so I'm working on about five research projects at the same time. My goal is to commit to nothing next summer, and slack off as much as is humanly possible.

Arizona gets so hot like 116 degrees the last couple weeks so I stay inside almost all day.I miss California

I need a job also,having no money sucks.I tried to get a job a whole year and still nothing!

My brother just bought Resident Evil 5 so we are playing it.This game is a lot better than I thought it would be.

Trying to finish my arcade project,but its hard to do with no employment. I can get a gaming computer on my birthday. I will be playing Mame and newer games like SF4,Saints Row 2,and RE5.

cool man! I've had the urge to build shelves and learn some carpentry (I'm totally new at it) for a while, but it is hard to find the space here in the city to do it, so I either have to jump in and rent space or just kinda lust from afar. So far it has just been the latter, but i'm hoping to get some space in the next 3 or 4 years. Also cool that you are getting married. congrads.

I am moving to another apartment a block away here in philly at some point in august. Once I do i was going to take some new pics of the gaming setup there, as a lot has changed in the year or so that i've been posting here. The new apartment is smaller unfortunately, but it is a one bedroom and i'll be by myself which will be nice. It is just going to be a challenge to get all the crap that i've acquired through the years in there. In addition to taking some gameroom pics, i was going to throw some stuff on the buy/sell/trade. Try to save some space.

I've been working myself to death in preparation of the move and buying some new furniture. On my plate is a backup for batman: streets of gotham, 28 days later, luke cage noir, punisher noir, and powers is starting up again. Powers is a double issue, so all in all it is about 110 pages a month. Thankfully, not everything comes in all at once and some of it has due dates that are kinda far in the future letting me be a little flexible. However, the shear mass of work means i haven't had a day off in a little over a month or so. ugh.

I really want to get out to the bar sometime soon, but just haven't had the time. ugh!

Hmm, I'm starting to see a patern here...

Well, I graduated from McGavock High School this past May. McGavock is a pretty terrible school as far as the general quality of the teachers, the majority of the students, and actual curriculum, but you can find alot of really cool, bright kids there, and the English department is simply superb. I'm starting Belmont University on August 26th; I'm excited, but really apprehensive as well. It'll be fun, and it's a great school, but I know it'll be HARD.

So yeah, I'm going ahead and reading some of the books that're to be asigned during the year. Currently reading "The Omnivore's Delimna", which is part of a collective course which the whole Freshman class is gonna be taking. There's alot of other books as well, and I fear that I've waited too long to try and get ahead in any significant way. Oh well, I'm at least gonna finish "The Omnivore's Delimna". I read about 50 pages a day while listening to music (D.R.I., Poison Idea, Koro, Deep Wound, Bad Religion, Minutemen, Fugazi, et cetera), then I either hang out with friends or play Dreamcast (working my way through Skies of Arcadia, despite my signature).

At least your high school's Wikipedia page doesn't list a G.I. Joe character as an alumnist.

Just hanging out and chillin'.. Playing some video games, writing some reviews, and was just at Comic-Con... the usual summer for me with less vacations than normal..

I took two summer classes.... that's pretty much all I can say about my summer. They didn't leave much time for anything else. I now have a mental disorder where whenever I wake up in a panic every morning thinking I have dynamics homework due in a couple hours.

Heading to the lake this weekend, should be a good time. Enrolled in my fall classes yesterday, should be an interested semester. Last one at a community college, after the fall I'll be off to MST.

On a side note, I'd be happy with G.I. Joe being from my high school.

Believe me, just by reading the assigned texts at all you are ahead of your classmates. Do the readings and reflect this in your in-class contributions and your professors will take notice.
