I know we're all on here a lot. Just wondering what everyone's been doing away from the computer.
My fiancee and I bought a house a few months back, got the first time buyer's tax credit, scraped all the ceilings, painted everything, replaced the back door, replaced the dishwasher, installed ceiling fans in every room, built a shed, etc...
I start grad school for library science in the fall...
oh yeah, and I'm getting married on Saturday.
so what has everyone been up to?

Replaced all the lights in my basement and my office. And after last night, I am coming to the end of my (on and off) two year project of a 3d dungeon for Warhammer Quest.
And I cleared some trees yesterday. Two big ones and some small ones.

Right now, Working as a beach lifeguard, but it looks like that's about it end. Bunch of hours and people are about to be cut.
Taking guitar lessons/ Recording music.
Surfing with friends when the ocean isn't as flat as a lake.
Lots of drinking. Some drugs.
Fixing and Modding videogame systems. Me and my girlfriends brother are about to put S-video in a bunch of Sega Genesi. (?)

Working at GameStop whenever I get the opportunity, which doesn't come very often these days. (Just last week, I didn't get even 1 hour of work.) As a result, I'm trying to get into Wal-Mart, since several of my close friends are higher-ups there. Since the position I'm applying for only gets about 20 hrs, I plan to work both jobs. Not like I'll earn enough hours to even be considered working full-time for both of them combined.
Really need to do something with my room. It's so messy, but it's so cramped. It's not like I have anywhere to put all my crap.
Otherwise, I've just been playing King of Fighters XII ever since I got it.

I've been ahhh I don't even know, nothing is going my way. I lost my job at Harris Teeter's, my girlfriend dumped me last week, I've been having migraines in one spot on my forehead and the doctors told me that it was stress related and I'm only 19! I start school in fall hopefully, so that's something to look forward to. Other than that playing games and looking for work.....

I've been playing Airsoft every weekend for the past month which has been pretty fun, getting out and getting exercise feels great. Working on my house as well, started sanding all of the kitchen cabinets down with 80 grit, the to 120 grit, then finally 220 grit sandpaper, going back with a honey colored finish, putting new hinges and handles on them all. Trying to get all off the carpet padding off of my master bedroom base floor, it seems to have got wet and dried out really bad on there, yard maintenance (mowing, weed eating, the like), vehicle maintenance (need new tires on both my car and truck, motorcycle needs new blinkers because my dumb ass dropped it). Trying to keep my dog in line (full blooded labrador >= full blooded pain in the ass)
Also been studying Ez Publish ecosystem. For those of you who are web developers or developers who are interested in web development, check it out, very powerful and easy to use front and back end.

Other than that, gaming out when I get the chance, which hasn't been to much here lately. Also trying to learn more about how Linux works, I started off as a Microsoft guy, but the more Linux I see, the less viruses I see.
And congrats on the marriage, hope everything goes well

You and me both, I haven't had a single hour of work in two weeks thanks to the houly cutbacks GameStop's been having.the7k wrote:Working at GameStop whenever I get the opportunity, which doesn't come very often these days.
