Favorite character not in the game? I've never had that problem.

LOL... I just wish SNK would change the Rising Tackle back to a DP motion like in '98. That was pure sugar. It was like, "whatever you do... don't jump at Terry..."

Maybe that's why they changed it backwip3outguy7 wrote:LOL... I just wish SNK would change the Rising Tackle back to a DP motion like in '98. That was pure sugar. It was like, "whatever you do... don't jump at Terry..."

Not a Polnareff fan, I take it? Benimaru actually is a very solid character. He might look a little fruity, but apparently when Japanese girls look at Benimaru, they see Mr. Big.Ack wrote:Maybe I'll finally get over my disgust for Benimaru's appearance and try him out. Who knows?

Wow. I have, somehow, gone from Elite to Scrub in a matter of less than 24 hours. Up until last night, I played 10 matches, and won 10 matches. Once I played last night and this morning, however... I played 18 matches, and only won 4 of them.
How in the hell does this happen? Some of the people that whopped my ass (And we are talking SOUNDLY whopped it, usually even having a character left over) were people who had 1/3 win ratios or had no wins on their record until they fought me. This is really starting to frustrate me.

Don't feel bad. I went to the UFO about a month ago and wrecked shop... never lost a match. I went a week later and couldn't win a match to save my life. I was down there just last Saturday and I was struggling like a little bitch against the AI. Someone finally challenged me and they were obviously new to the game - super scrubby. But I basically gave them my first two characters on a silver platter. I had to step back, collect myself and play a slower pace. I finally won the match but it took Kyo and some patience.
Keep in mind that a lot of newbs are picking up the game. They don't know the mechanics... they're going to rush in and play it like SF or GG. They don't know enough to fall victim to the mind games us seasoned players try to pull. Fall back on your basics and feel the other player out. You'll start winning again.

Re: KOFXII - Dedicated Post-Release Impression Thread
here's my review of KOF :12
horrible console game
great fighting game
The options, menu system, online play, control settings, background count, everything is just bad. Except the fighting system. Hook this up with local 2 player and it completely bad ass. SNK is supposed to be releasing a patch for PS3 tonight to fix the lag. Almost every match I've played was really badly lagged.

Ok, can someone post some screenshots of the menu? Everyone is complaining about that, I want to know how bad the presentation is. I never considered it a big deal in fighting games (menus were ridiculous in Street Fighter Alpha 2 and other Capcom games), but everyone is voicing their opinion so loudly...
