Virtua Hamster rom being released, finally!

Post by earljones »

Well, some may think that paying for dumps is ridiculous. To that, I say we wouldn't be getting this were it not for that opportunity :) Virtua Hamster was bought as soon as that list in my TJ&E2 topic was put up on drx's site, and I've been told by the guy that runs the website that bought it that it's being released in a couple of days.

You'll notice the countdown on the front page. Guess what for :)

Very cool!
Although, I've wanted to see this for years after seeing screen in Sega Visions magazine.
Now, I think the game would have been better left to my imagination :)

Here's the recent eBay sale, in case anyone is interested:

That's pretty cool, but the game seems to suck.

Now if we ever get to see a dump of the X-Men Rom I'll freak out.

Just looking at the gameplay it seems like a poorly made outrun sorta game that removes all sense of speed, fun, awesomeness, and sense of getting somewhere.

Hmm...I'm lost now if the dump is from DreamTR's list or that auction. I was told that it was dumped and "sent back", so I can only assume it was DreamTR's list.

Either way, I can see why this went unreleased. The concept didn't have much meaning. The tubes didn't look like they could really be much interesting, just running through one long hall of one color :?

Those title screens obviously look Photoshoped and not like a 32X game.
