10 customized consoles

Post by Anapan »

I keep up on most of Ben Heck's stuff and others when they pop up but most of these I'd never seen before. I especially like the Portable PS2.

Dreamcast portable deserved 1st place. The PS2 portable just looks crummy.

Agreed, the ps2 looked shit. Although I'd pick the Atari jag as the winner personally.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

The Dreamcast one looks cool, but I dont think I would be able to use it, due to the location of the controls. The Colecovision and Jaguar ones are both pretty cool too. the NES that looks like a PS2 is stupid and what the heck happened to that cdx?

Honestly, although I think Ben Heck is a talented guy, his portable consoles always look the same.

Jesus, that PS2 looks like crap. Did he just stick a screen and a controller to a PSTWO? How the fuck is that a portable?

i personally think all of these look ugly... it's really hard to get something to look as clean as a DS when these all use bulky carts or discs though. actually seems more about the "because we can" with this sort of modding than the functionality and the "i actually want to play this outside of my living room" feeling
