Don't forget to download and burn Sonic 1 Mega Mix. I've been playing that on and off today and it's surprisingly good for a fan-made game.

Well Nightstriker was a Japan only release, so the only way to get it to work on a American Sega CD is to burn a copy after converting the iso's region.

Haha, well I'm actually planning to print out DVD covers for all these games, so I'm keeping it to just the essentials; I'm not sure if I really want to use up a DVD case on Sewer Shark. OpenSonic looks awesome, though! I'm definitely giving that one a try! I'll try out a burn of NightStriker and see how I like it, it looks pretty good!

Games I've played so far:

Ecco the Dolphin (****1/2)
Lunar: The Silver Star (*****)
Lunar: Eternal Blue (*****)
Popful Mail (*****)
Robo Aleste (****)
Shining Force CD (****)
Snatcher (*****)
Sonic CD (*****)

I wish Sega had pushed games like those instead of the FMV silliness. I'm not really sure if the Sega CD was a "good idea" or not, but some great things came from it, to be certain. The CD-quality audio and Full-Motion cut-scenes made a huge difference to RPGs in particular, and really helped to complete Platformers and Shoot-'Em-Ups. Being an add-on, could it have ever sold well, especially at its steep price-point? I have no idea. But honestly, if they'd been pushing Lunar, Popful Mail, Eternal Champions, Silpheed, and (this is a stretch, given this game's predicament) Snatcher, the Sega CD would have fared much better. It's hard enough to push a pricey add-on to consumers as it is; if you want the video game fans to buy it, show 'em to the GOOD video games. I mean, imagine if Sonic CD and Ecco the Dolphin CD had been packaged with the Sega CD instead of Sewer Shark, Sherlock Holmes, and Sol-Feace.

I'm going to also recommend playing Sonic Megamix.

It's genuinely one of the best fan made games I've ever played. It's very very well done, if not a little short.
