Xbox X help

Post by lost_within »

Well recently I got a modded xbox. The problem is....it does NOT prompt you to flash the bios.

It appears to be the X3 chip, I am going to pop it open sometime this weekend to take a look in it. But I really need some help on trouble shooting...IF this chip is not flopping around.

I tried all the dip switch settings.
I tried to load files pc to xbox...cant
I tried to just put in a cdr with a new dashboard thinking maybe its been flashed....cant
I tried unplugging the ds to set a default to flash like new....cant
I tried to hit and hold eject and power for 2-4 seconds...nothing

More or less I played with this thing and google....for,5 hours last night....and got nothing.

It plays normal games fine....but I want to use it for emulation....any ideas?
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

I know you said you tried all the dip switch settings. For the X3 I think on the actual chip there is an on/off switch.

When you boot up your xbox does the flash screen have the team xecutor logo under it?

Hey,

You should really go over to the xbox-scene.com forums and do a search for your problem there. I'm betting you'll find your answer there.

Good luck

Nope there is no logo which is another thing that I am wondering if its ever even been flashed, or if the chip is damaged.

As far as the xbox scene...I did...out of 5 hours of searching it involed alot of reading on that site.

After cracking it open, cleaning it up, and messing with it I got the chip to come on...if you do the hard on...it boots to the MS dash...if you do the soft to try and go into the chip...the screen is just blank. I did alot of reading and tried more stuff...but still nothing, any ideas?
