In 1991, maybe, but in 2009? Today it'd be more like Mario mauling Sonic.

The new Nintendo games have the same formula since SNES,look at all the Mario Kart games,it gets old after awhile.I think Sega still has great games(if you don't count the Sonic games) like Condemned,The House of the Dead 4(arcade),Virtua Fighter 5,etc.I'm still waiting for a 2D Sonic for the next gen systems.
Systems: Sega Dreamcast(x2), Sega Genesis(x2), Sega Saturn, Sega CD, Genmobile (portable Genesis), FC Twin, PSX, PS2(x2), GBA, SP, Xbox 360, N64, Showcase Arcade

Well all these years have been hard on Sonic. He was bound to snap sooner or later. Besides, Mario had it coming.
