Just wondering. Did you enjoy the Commandos series?

Commandos by Pyro Studios, a tactical real-time game where you control a squad of specialists fighting aginst the Nazis. How was it received outside Spain? Just wondering.

I think it's the best real time tactical game I have ever seen. Wondering if I should pick the third if I see it.

I loved the first game, but couldn't get past the 8th mission, cause I was still young, and not good at strategy's yet. also i didn't know the keyboard layout well enough at the time, so I could never remember the key bindings.


but I think the second one (not the stand alone expansion pack which was horribly hard) is much better

The first two games in the series were great. I loved them!
Commandos 3 I found very tough and so I could never really get that much into it. Still a decent enough game and probably worth picking up.
The next game after that, strayed quite a bit from the original formula. So for me, 'Strike Force' was the worst of the bunch.

I couldn't get in the first game as I found the levels a bit bland. However it got me in the mood for the other two games which I beat.

Was Commandos 3 hard? I don't remember a lot of it except that in the last mission you could go all aggro because you had all the guys armed with rifles

I agree that the second one was the most enjoyable of the two, it's my favourite.

And yes, I played Strike Force and it seemed your average FPS but with 3 lives and some quircks.
