This may sound weird, but I'm really nostalgic for my old demo discs that I got for the Playstation 1 and 2. Anyone else kept their demo discs?
Before I had the Playstation someone ordered from Pizza Hut (from in town, since I lived in the boonies) and the order came with a free demo disc, the one with Tomb Raider, MediEvil, Tomba, Crash Bandicoot (whichever one that was, I think it had a few levels and some racing), MGS1, Einhander, etc... anyway, I held onto that disc- not even knowing I would ever get a Playstation- because I was desperate for games. Luckily my freakin' grandmother bought me a Playstation for Christmas, so I had this disc along with Gex 2 and Frogger to play, which were great fun anyway.
I played the shit out of that demo disc.

Demo discs rule. I have a few for Playstation and 3DO, I haven't touched the 3DO ones, but the Playstation ones helped me discover some incredible games like TOMBA! I'm pretty sure I got one for Xbox kicking around too.

I've made it a rule to keep the demo disc until I get all the games I like from it.

The only one I have is the Final Fantasy X demo disc. It has a cool making of Final Fantasy X and has interviews, inside looks and game concepts. Its one of the best demo discs if you ask me.

I collected all of the Official Dreamcast Magazine demo discs. Thats how I discovered the Tony Hawk games, otherwise I would have dismissed them as just some dumb game, but damn I had so much fun just rolling around not even knowing I could do tricks.

I was thinking about this the other day, I collected about 60+ PS1 demo discs from The Official Playstation magazine.
How I miss them...

I do feel nostalgic for some of the Sega Flash Saturn demo disks that we got in the UK as I used to play them loads.
I also love collecting them in general as they are fairly rare, generally pretty cheap and werent available to buy in the shops which in my book all makes for some nice collectable items. Also you sometimes get something different to the released version of the game - such as the head squelching onto the floor in the opening 5 mins of resident evil.

I've got a LOAD of Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine demo discs. I even kinda collect demo discs for the PS1. I remember being very pleased when I found a complete set of the three demo discs Pizza Hut used to give out.
Hell, I even started making custom covers for my demo discs, although I only made two of 'em. Granted, to me, they were the most important demo discs - the one with Tomba and Granstream Saga, and the one with the Japanese Metal Gear Solid.
