Have You Ever Contemplated Selling Your Collection?

I have contemplated it, never went through with it. Space is not currently a huge issue - well atleast not storage space, but when it does become so I will have to rethink. I dont honestly play all of those 50 Atari games, but when I have some buddies over we do have alot of fun with them at random - except when we play Pacman...

It's barely worth selling Atari stuff anyway. That's the thing, the only things that bring a high price are the good things you don't want to sell anyway. The crap that you'd be willing to sell, no one else wants either.

I go through huge collecting spurts and then later realize that I bought a bunch of games that I dont really care about and end up selling them. I guess my advice to you is to only keep the games and systems that you really care about and really play. It's alot nicer to say you have a collection of games that you play regularly and care about over having a huge collection of stuff you dont really like.

You only live once. Take that as you will.

Also, if Michael Jackson did it, so can you:

I'm gutting/have gutted my collection.

I'm currently planning on trimming down to my 360, ps2 and dreamcast, while moving my n64 to my parent's home...

I just got rid of my nes, cube, gamegears, saturn, and am planning on dumping my genesis. I just don't have the room or ever get any use out of them. It's sad and all, but it's time.

I've noticed that this seems unthinkable to most of the forum members

I wouldn't sell my collection. I've considered it plenty of times, but most of these games I've had since I was a child so they hold sentimental value for me. They are way too precious for me to sell.

A lot of the games I've bought second hand I wouldn't think twice about trading them for something else or selling. I don't have a personal attachment to them unlike the majority of my collection.

I sold a lot of duplicates, and a handful of things i didn't play anymore, but mainly it's always going to stay.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Keep what you really like. Also consider that Xbox arcade is not going to be around in 4 years because your console will be dead and Microsoft is not going to give your games back to you.
