Exactly. It is cheesey as hell which is the point. The old Hercules movies are pretty cheesey aswell too though.
A lot of you talking about Hercules shows
There is an obscure(I love this word) Hercules tv show that they used to air on my local tv channel. I don't remember much except that I think the start it had many different pieces of the show's action scenes put together for the intro. I think there was a dragon with 3 heads, or was that Xena? Or was it just the Disney cartoon?
The Office makes alot more sense if you have worked in a cube farm or small office. I have coworkers just like Dwight/Gareth, and my old boss was Michael/David. He would disappear for hours at a time and randomly appear with ice cream.

I think that might be why I just don't enjoy The Office. I've never worked in that setting so some of the humor doesn't connect with me.

Sounds like Hercules the Legendary Adventures with Kevin Sorbo. I believe a clip of him fighting the hydra was used in the opening.

Any show that makes you respect a Baldwin has got to be worth a watch right? Give it 5 episodes what have you got to lose.
Yep, I avoided 30 Rock for a long time because it looked like just another formulaic sitcom. But my friends kept recommending it. Friends who's opinions I respect. Friends who like Arrested Development. Friends who turned me on to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. So I gave it a shot. It's now up there as one of my favorite shows on TV right now.
I was slow to warm up to 30 Rock. It was always on after The Office and I like Tina Fey, so my wife and I would give it a chance, but always turned it off after the first few minutes. Then one day it just seemed to click with both of us. Before we knew it we had streamed through every episode on Netflix in just a few short months and were craving more.
I do love me some It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, though. Used to watch Arrested Development, but now I don't even know when or where to see it. Hell, now that I think about it, I haven't seen either in a long time, but those're about the only ones I like (that I remember).
A lot of my friends watch a lot of sitcoms, and it kinda drives me nuts. They just don't seem funny to me - of course, these are usually the ones that have the 'studio audience', so that every minor joke gets more laughs than Richard Pryor and George Carlin combined.
I've never worked in an office and I think The Office is hilarious. There's something enjoyable about cringing at Michael making a total fool out of himself.
