Gaming Depression

Post by Saraph »

I've been in a bit of a videogame depression lately. I'm in the kind of state right now that I might do something stupid, like buy a PS2 or Gamecube (Even though the succesor's of these consoles are coming within 7 months). I'm looking for some really fun action games. Like Contra or Castlevania, but I've played all the games in these series that I can on the PC through emulation. I'm really looking for some obscure DC games that arent popular, yet really enjoyable that you would recommend. Or even games that can be emulated from the GBA to PSX. I've played a lot of popular action games, maybe I should go back to UT2K4 until the Revolution comes out...

buck up solder. a leap into warm arms of a ps2s is not a bad one. contra shattered solder kickd ass. its 2d heaven on 3d earth. They even kept the one hit death.

siren, onimusha , devil may cry 1 and only 1, retrun to castle wolfenstain, metal gear solid, bloodrayne, god of war, veiwtiful joe, alien hominid, hit man 2 and many more i cant remember right now are games all ps2 owners should play. Castlevania was just alright. Devil may cry was more castlevania then Castlevania. dont get me started.

Tatics?

Final Fantasy Tactics? That gets me out of the blues, even the GBA one. Mad replay on that title.

I agree with LWB, the new 3d Castlevania's just are not there yet...I forced my way through them...every damn long boring hallway through. I really wanted something that that game just did not have. Had to play a bit of Aria of Sorrow just to get the taste out of my mouth. I need a DS for for that Dawn, when is the emu for that gonna hit!?

The second time I beat FFTA I went into a slump and I think I had just gotten sick of the slow gameplay and the waiting around that the game entails. I couldn't force myself to go back and get all the extra missions and items. Dragon Quest VIII got me out of that slump.
