Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

"Feel free to play whatever you want; it's not my fault you can't understand quality. Come back when you've learned something."

And to take it up a notch...

Not at all (to everything you said). Go out and play whatever you want, if you find it entertaining, that's justification enough to play it.
What I'm saying is that you will develop a higher quality taste for games, once you adopt the 1CC mindset.

Its as if you are looking to find something offensive, in what I say.
Why couldn't you say, "Hmmph. Y'know what? I've never taken the time to try and 1CC a game. Maybe he's onto something. I love video games, and if he says, I'll develop a deeper appreciation for them, I'm sold."

As I've said, the way you phrase things comes off as very black and white, my way or the highway. And I have tried some 1cc runs. I actually managed to 1cc Raiden Fighters Jet the first time I beat it. When I play other shmups I evaluate my performance. Did I lose all my lives early on? Then maybe I need to switch my fighter, since this one doesn't suit me. Is it late in the game? Then let's continue and see how far I can get. But as others have mentioned, the whole 1cc concept only applies to a limitd genre. I honestly do not see how 1cc will give me a greater appreciation of Secret of Mana.

It's my way of trying to get people to voice a well constructed opinion, and to stray away from the hippy mindset of, "Everything is beautiful, you just need to look at it the right way"

Well of course, credits only exist in arcade based games.

For someone trying to coerce a well constructed opinion, your methods are none too constructive.

You want to hear me with a strong opinion? Ask me about console shooters.
