My family's first TV is very similar to yours. Ours was a slightly later model that had a keypad instead of a knob, but it had the same kind of wood finish to make it look more like a piece of furniture instead of a piece of electronics.

Man, that takes me back. Sitting in front with my NES. By the time I got my SNES I had a TV of my own, so it stayed in my room.

Oh my god! I use to have a TV just like that one! In fact, now that I look at it more, I think it was that exact TV.

Awesome room though, man. I really dig rooms like that. I'm a big fan of basement hang outs. The walls, the coffee table, the speakers, all awesome.

Gotta agree with Ziggy here, it looks great to me. Any chance you'll do a closeup of the collection?

It has a certain factor I like to call "crashability." In other words, I can see myself crashing comfortably and hanging out there. Nice work!

I dig all your Sega Posters. Is that a Generation NEX opposite your Model 2 genesis?

Great retro setup!
I actually wish I had a more vintage-looking TV that worked well. I've got one old one, but it's not that stylish and half the funtionality is dead.

How's the picture on that?

And the Sonic 2 poster may be one of the best gaming posters of all time. I have that one as well (somewhere) -- I had it hanging up in my parents' basement for like a decade :)

My first tv looked a lot like that. It was black and white too. Mario and Luigi looked the same on it. A decade later, I tried turning it on and a small flame sprouted inside that I could small and see through the back vent. Got rid of that tv pretty damn fast after that.
