Fanboys should just roll over and die

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Fanboys should just roll over and die

Post by ZeroAX »

I've had it up to here with fanboys. I can't stand the stupidity.

Over the years of browsing gaming related sites, I couldn't comprehend the stupidity that infects the comments section, know as the fanboy.

Why the sudden nerve brake out?

look at this

M$ might be planning of putting ads in xbox live. And while many people, mostly owners of the console I guess, say it's unthinkable to pay a monthly subscription AND have ads on the service, there is a big number of idiots who defend M$ on the matter.

HOW THE F^$K can you be such a b!$*h to a company? How can you defend it, when it's trying to suck you dry. We are not talking about having ads, instead of a subscription. We are talking about Ads+subscription and some people ACTUALLY DEFEND THEM.

of course it's not only xbox fanboys that are @$$holes, but I was just in shock after seeing some of the responses in that comment section

As long as one of the ads isn't that dancing alien celebrating low mortgage rates.

In all seriousness, I don't think fanboys/girls have become any worse; they just have an increasing number of forums on which to voice their positions.

The battles of ignorance once waged on playgrounds and greasy pizza parlor arcades are now fought on the world wide web.

I can stand them on the internet, it is in the stores that get me. Maybe it is because I am so good looking, dripping in the sarcasm, but man alive they get me there. I have been chastised so many times for buying Wii or Gamecube games instead of PS3/360 titles. Its not something that happens every time, but it gets old. Especially when I have burned cds older than the people insulting my choices. Granted it shouldnt get to me, but these kids that dont understand why I would consider a night of beer or wine and Warlords at a divebar with friends over Gears of War 2 on live is something that concerns me alittle.

Fanboy completely puzzle me in this what's regarded as the golden age of gaming what is there place exactly? You don't like M$ you've missed 'Gears Of War' don't like Sony you've just missed 'Uncharted' I like games regardless of platform, great games are great games.

Agreed. The term "fanboy" annoys me more. Everyone has their own definition of the word. People who always buy PS3 and 360 games are definitely not fanboys in my eyes, just a bunch of suckers who pay $69.99+ for a $.50 disc. Being just one year behind the video game technology curve can save anyone an amazing amount of money-I just got the Force Unleashed for $4.99 at Hollywood Video!.

Fast,
One thing I say often to kids who get on my nerves is, "I own video games older than you". In all honesty though, I own video games older than me too.

Honestly, if the ads are well placed it doesn't really bug me. Seeing crap on the billboards in Battlefield2142 didn't bug me because I didn't look at billboards unless I was killing someone in front of one. And then it would be something like

"BOOM! Headshot! Dead now, mother fucker...hey, Dodge Camry."

It honestly takes more energy to worked up over fanboys, than it does to just ignore them. It used to bother me, but I eventually just learned to let it go. They will never change.

As far as the ads go, it looks like they can be easily skipped. Yeah they are a little intrusive, but I don't think they'll be an experience breaking deal. The more mainstream gaming gets, the more you'll see that kind of stuff.

One thing I'd like to add, perhaps it's not best to bash the Microsoft fanboys and THEN abbreviate Microsoft with a dollar sign. The shit has gotten old quick, and doesn't exactly puts you in an unbiased position. Sometimes the anti-fanboy is really just another fanboy from another camp.

Despite the fact that I've owned a ps1, currently own a ps2, and will probably eventually own a ps3, there is something in me that makes me hate sony. I think it is their ego or expectation that the blind followers will buy their system whether it's $150 or $800. And somehow, no matter how many idiotic decisions they make, they manage to pull ahead and get most of the best games. The thing is that I usually only get one near the end of the generation, because it's too expensive otherwise.

I think I'm just still mad that their lying and empty promises on the ps2 lead to the death of the dreamcast.

but I never use the M$. I only used it on this topic, be cause really Microsoft is freaking pushing it. either make the service free (like everyone else) and put ads in it to support it, or subscription and no ads.
