Sitcoms Dead?

Post by RCBH928 »

If you were like me , grew up in the 90's , you will know that sitcoms were the coolest thing to watch on TV. In fact, the only shows I recall being popular and not sitcoms are ER and Baywatch, both which I never saw and do not understand why are they popular(As for baywatch, if it was for the girls why not just watch a porno?).

But I see no more sitcoms? Did they stop making them? I can easily see they are substituted with shows like Lost, Prison Break, Desperate housewives..etc. What happened to sitcoms? It used to be a really good and funny 20-30 that I did enjoy. Fresh Prince, Friends, Seinfeld , ... whatever happened to this kind of stuff?

"The Big Bang Theory" is the only one I watch. My wife watches "The Office," I would too but I go out every Thursday and am not home.
The wife and I don't watch too much TV, I usually only watch sports (NBA, NFL) in the fall/winter.

I also love how i met your mother, and the big bang theory, but other than those 2, I can't find a good sitcom to watch.

Though there are cartoon sitcoms, like the simpsons and futurama that I love, but it's just not the same

'Flight of the Conchords' is good 'Always Sunny In Philadelphia' too and '30 Rock'.

There's plenty of sitcoms, just not many good ones...

I could watch Arrested Development over, and over, and over again. It's my favorite show of all time, in fact.

I also watch Curb Your Enthusiasm. That one is still running.

My favorite and I still watch...SEINFELD. That's my favorite show. I also watch The Office, another favorite. Can't forget Malcolm in the Middle either.

that 70's show was 98 which hardly counts as the 90's and Two and a Half men was 2003, It's always sunny is my new favorite

you could always buy dvds of old sitcoms if you are craving them that badly
