Sold my Game Boy Advance to get a DS - now that I've lost my Game Boy Player disc for the Gamecube, I can't play all old Game Boy Color games, as all I have is a Game Boy, DS, and Super Game Boy.

When I was a little kid and bought my first NES I really wanted more NES games. I had lent my Colecovision to these obnoxious neighbor kids. One of them cut a controller cable with a pair of scissors. I was trying to get them to replace it and the mom offered instead to buy my entire Colecovision and all the games from me since the boys liked it. I thought that sounded ok because I could use money to get some NES games. She was a real cheapo though. She haggled me and talked me down to $30 bucks for the lot of it. I went to Lionel Playworld and used that money to buy Pro Wrestling. $30 wasn't even enough to cover it. I had to toss in some money I made from mowing lawns. Now I like to use The Amazon to munch people's heads as much as the next guy, but Pro Wrestling was really a poor substitute for my beloved Colecovision. I had a lot of games I really liked back then: Venture, Zaxxon, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Lady Bug, Smurfs, Popeye, and Frogger. I felt so stupid and I missed my old games terribly. I never sold anything again for a very long time. Now that I'm an adult I can't believe that lady ripped off a little kid like that. Her sons were dipshits that didn't take care of things either. They ruined their Nintendo because one of the brothers wisely poured his milk and Cheerios into the open NES and had breakfast because all of the bowls were dirty. Dumb fuckers. I hated those neighbors.

Trading my copy of Silent Hill for Soul Reaver.

I'd prefer not to talk about it.

I don't have any real regrets other than throwing away the box to Ogre Battle 64, and that's a rather small regret.

I believe Nintendo's online store may still have them in stock.

Although I am not sure what is the value of Silent Hill, I hear Soul Reaver is good game.

Honestly guys I am not sure what you are doing. If you collect for collecting purpose you should not ever sell any of your stuff. No one is making more NES, Saturns, Neo Geos, or any of the original games. This stuff is rare and they are dying each day by failures of the system or being broken or thrown out by people who do not think any one wants to play these(I know for sure multiple of friends of mine own Neo Geo games+console , Dreamcast collection , N64 collection that is collecting dust. I picked two N64's from a bag thrown in their garage!). You can get money any time from any where, but those things are more valuable than their price tag so keep them.

I do not collect but I regret buying Far Cry on the origina xbox, that has to be the worst FPS ever. I think it was praised only for the graphics back then. All you had to do is run to the end of the level , that was about it. Maybe I do regret buying the 3 GTA's on the xbox, although all the games were great and I believe to be one of the best, it kind of felt repetitive experience although I played them on the course of 2 years.
