Nerd Fashion

Post by Marspants »

So I suck hardcore at buying clothing, and I was curious where other gamers get their fashion on? haha, that sounds terrible. I was going to dabble in online shopping, but I suck hardcore at finding any sites that are not like huge mainstream. Anyway, what do you guys do?

Probably should specify if you're looking more for casual or career-friendly wear.

I own a couple of Super Mario t-shirts, but mostly just wear black jeans and nondescript dark t-shirts from thrift stores. They all double as work-clothes because they don't show the oil and rust stains... I go through a lot of them. Oh and I have a NHJ VTV-101 TV wristwatch and a TV signal modulator so I can wirelessly broadcast videogames to it - the resolution makes all but Atari 2600 mostly unplayable.

I've had these bookmarked for awhile and will eventually buy a couple of them:

T-qualizer & Wifi T-shirts:

Asteroids Watch (sadly - unplayable...)

Space Invaders Watch:

Pong Watch (I want one of these so much!)

Cellphone Watch:

Binary Watch:

A Google search for wearable computers will turn up all kinds of other mostly too expensive stuff like sun glasses with a video screen built-in, complete computer systems that are built into clothing and mostly hidden, clothing that serves as a full color video display, and that kinda stuff.

I go with cargo pants/shorts and various video game T-shirts. I have the fortune of working in a place where I can wear whatever I want, so there's no difference for me between casual and work attire.
