Best co-op experiences on the PS2?
Title says it all. What to buy? No FPSes please. We're more into Jump 'n Runs or Hack 'n Slay..

Re: Best co-op experiences on the PS2?
I know this topic has come up at least once before, but what the hell.
I was totally blown away by Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. I would go as far as to say it's one of my favorite co-op games ever and one of my favorite action games of the generation. Only played it on the Xbox, but I'm sure the PS2 version isn't all that different. It's kind of like Devil May Cry meets X-Men Legends, with characters from Mortal Kombat II, which let's face it, was the best Mortal Kombat to date.

Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2. Great fun.
Never played co-op mode but I enjoy Fallout Brotherhood of Steel and Contra Shattered Soldier and I believe Marvel Ultimate Alliance is suposed to be good.

Gauntlet: Dark Legacy and Champions of Norrath are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head that aren't shooters.
Edit: Just recalled, Sengoku Basara 2: Heroes has several 2-Player modes. If you aren't feeling adventurous enough to navigate Japanese menus, many Dynasty Warriors games have co-op as well, but I strongly prefer Sengoku Basara to Dynasty Warriors. You can also try going for Sega Ages Vol 26: Dynamite Deka, which is a PS2-enhanced port of the Sega Saturn classic Die Hard Arcade.

I'm gonna throw Contra Shattered Soldier out there. Red Star was already mentioned but thought it should be seconded due to awesomeness.

I'm going to check out Dynamite Deka, but yeah it really seemed that last generation didn't have much co-op, at least not that I can think of.
Guncon games like Time Crisis and Vampire Night were co-op, though I guess you could qualify those as shooters, even though they are on rails.
