Yeah, but ADV is a bunch of asses when it comes to re-printing anything besides Evangelion collections and other big name shows.marurun wrote:I think AD Vision still holds the license to Gunsmith Cats. They're largely dormant these days, but I don't think the license has expired for them just yet.

Evangelion has had like 5 reprints, and I just recently got the Perfect Collection (tin case one).Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Yeah, but ADV is a bunch of asses when it comes to re-printing anything besides Evangelion collections and other big name shows.marurun wrote:I think AD Vision still holds the license to Gunsmith Cats. ADV is just doing whats popular, more or less. I think if they happen to see a demand again, they might do a reprint. And i wish Bandai would care about Gundam again. Well, is Double Zeta coming stateside or what? Or Victory Gundam?...

Re: Gun Smith PI
Well I'll admit that I am partially responsible for the EVA reprints seeing as I own the Laserdisc print of the series, the Analog transfer DVD Black Box collection, and the digitally restored Platinum collection slimpack.Zeonik Freak wrote:Evangelion has had like 5 reprints, and I just recently got the Perfect Collection (tin case one).Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Yeah, but ADV is a bunch of asses when it comes to re-printing anything besides Evangelion collections and other big name shows.marurun wrote:I think AD Vision still holds the license to Gunsmith Cats. As for the Gundam's I really need to get back into the franchise as I've been neglecting it as of late, then again the new series currently airing on Sci-Fi's Ani-Monday hasn't been as stellar as most of the rest.

Re: Gun Smith PI
I happen to like the new one, its basicly Gundam Wing, only with a make over, and minus Wu Fei. Or Wu Fei doesnt pilot a gundam, but just hangs around his sister all the time.
Its still not bad though...

Re: Gun Smith PI
Is your platinum edition the one with all of the extras and bonuses?
Or is it the slimpack one?
The platinum edition slimpack is in a cardboard artbox and has no special features, while the perfect collection platinum edition (tin case) has all of the bonuses restored from where they had been taken out on the slimpack (cardboard case) release.
Both still feature the re-mastered audio and video though.
If your Evangelion set has a black cardboard box with the NERV logo on the side then you have the original perfect collection which was an Analog transfer DVD set in 2.1 (stereo) audio and analog video straight from the original source film.

Re: Gun Smith PI
Okay, that makes more sense. Yeah, it's the slimpack. No need to get the Perfect one, I'll just wait for them to come out with the Super Neon Genesis Evangelion 2 Turbo Champion Edition Director's cut.

Re: Gun Smith PI
Its alright if you dont. Granted its not the BEST GUNDMA EVAR, but its not the worst either. To me its rather enjoyable, especially newer anime...Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:I just can't seem to get into it for some reason.
When i finished the Eva series (3rd time) i wrote this on my facebook:Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:True, EVA is the Street Fighter II of the Anime world when it comes to re-prints.
Thinks every Bible in the world should be included with Neon Genesis Evangelion: Platinum Collection. Watching the series is like reading my bible, except its with robots...
Yea, i think im on to something there...
