Well, this build is really just getting torn apart :lol:

I didn't come up with the parts, I've been away from PC building for too long, the list was suggested by a user on neoGAF. I won't be offended if you guys think I should scrap the entire thing!

Thanks for the newegg PSU calculator, that will really help!

As far as mobos go, do I just find one from one of those brands suggested and pick it or do I need to worry about compatibility issues with my other parts?

Consider swapping the optical drive for a BD-ROM such as the Sony BDU-X10S. It's only a player (no burning functionality at all) but since it's a HTPC you don't need it to burn discs.

That drive is almost half the price of other BD drives in this country purely because it only does one thing. At that price, if you really must have disc burning capability just buy an LG/NEC burner for £15. It's a no brainer.

Yes of course you need to consider compatibility issues with your other components.
