I am going to drive to Florida from Ohio. On the way home I want to hit some good game stores. Can anyone in between suggest any? I am looking for the kind that sell classic games not the "Gamestop" type. We have "The Exchange" in Ohio as well as Flashback Video Games and a store called James-Games.
Any help/advise would be great. Thanks guys.

Well, since you've got to go through at least one of them, I'd pick Georgia over Alabama. There's at least one decent Play N Trade in Atlanta that Fastbilly knows about. As for Alabama, there's...uh...yeah.

Where in Florida are you going?
If you head to Orlando, there is a cool store called S & F Videogames that has a lot of decent retro stuff. Also, find out where flea markets are along the way and hit them up.

Yeah Goodwills are a must. That store in orlando sounds like a winner. I will have to try to find it. I have never been to a play n trade, do they have a website?

You won't find much in South Florida, it's kinda like a retro gaming desert around here

If you don't mind a minor detour to northern Oregon, I would be happy to act as a tour guide.

There is apparently a new location in Southern Georgia and the original one just north of Jacksonville, FL.
Also, if you happen to be going through Charlotte, NC there is a Goodwill Computer Center (basically a hub of all the games in Charlotte. I've found everything from boxed intellivisoin games to stacks of rare NES games to a trio of Atari Prototypes) just off of I-85 (Freedom Drive). It's not more than a mile off the interstate (plus there is a Bojangles in the parking lot, so you can get your good southern fried chicken fix).

I hafta say Play N Trade is a great place to stop, and every store is different because of the franchise and has different owners.
Got: Atari 2600, Atari 7800Pro, Commodore 64, Odyssey 2, Sega Master System, NES, Genesis Models 1-3, Nomad, Game Gear, Sega CD Model 1, Sega 32x, SuperNES, GameBoys, GameBoy Pocket, GBC, Sega Saturn Model 2, GBA, Nintendo 64, Playstation, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation 2 Slim, Nintendo DS Lite, Xbox 360, Gamecube, PS3 Slim
