Do you think we'll ever see a mainstream snes portable?

Hey guys, just wanted to see if you guys wanted to share some speculation, there might already be a thread like this? But if not, here goes.

Portables have always had a special place in my heart, from my first gameboy, up to my DS, I even have a micro (which 70% of the people in my school had never seen before)...

so anyway now the FC mobile 2 is out and is pretty good from what I've heard (and I'm thinking of getting one) the pocket MD, it may look like a psp but its still kinda cool ( i have a nomad already though) and the pocket boy Portable famicom.

So these are all pretty easily available, now I'm wondering and/or waiting for a snes version. The snes has always been one of my favorites, from earthbound, to donkey kong, I probably played the most snes growing up...second would be n64. The graphics are a wonderful mid ground. Still the awesome 2d stuff I grew up playing, but it has that updated look.

If you have a GBA micro, you have a mainstream portable SNES. If your not satisfied with the GBA's SNES selection, mod a PSP to emulate SNES games. It works great and is very affordable.

That isn't as cool as having something like an SNES version of the Nomad.

And last time I checked, some REALLY good games don't work yet in the PSP emulator.

There are some good DS SNES emulator so just run one of them and play soem Earthbound =D

Sure. We already have knock off SNES consoles (FC twin). And we have portable NES consoles, like you said. It's just a matter of time until they build a portable FC twin.

Yeah I dont like emulation, I mean I know something that played snes games wouldn't be original hardware so it would sorta be an emulation. But its not digital. Emulation has too many problems IMO. Between sound and video problems. I don't feel compelled to mod a psp or DS either.
