Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Seriously though I don't support this as every year we get less and less Anime in the states (let alone any high quality showstoppers) because distribution companies are bleeding money left and right due to all the torrenters and pirates.
I'm pretty sure we get less and less because modern anime sucks, and the whole weeaboo anime fad has officially died, thank god.

True for the most part modern anime does grasp for straws much more than anything from the 70's up until about 03'.

Also what the heck is weeaboo?

You can find alot of these faggots clogging up the forums of Gaia Online, hanging out in the international aisle of the supermarket, or crowding the manga section of your local bookstore. Synonym of wapanese.

Ohhh, I just call those people shitfaced cocksuckers.

I'm an old school otaku, in that I'm extremely in tune with my nerdy hobbies but know how to ground myself in reality by enjoying all that they have to offer without berating others interests in theirs. But I have hope as I haven't seen as many shitfaced cocksuckers at my local anime/manga/card/game shop lately.

Plus, the real anime fans are the ones who really exude that old Toonami vibe of taking it slow, watcing the best, keeping cool and laying back to really enjoy it.

With a kickass D&B and techno background soundtrack as well of course.

"Real anime fans" and "toonami" don't belong in the same sentence, buddy.

And I can say that, because I was never a real anime fan. And I did watch toonami.

Toonami introduced me to my first real anime other than Pokemon on Kids WB, so I'm a bit partial to it. The old Toonami that is from 97'-06' befoe it got whored out with the likes of Naruto and fucking ben 10.

I also liked it. I have to confess I watched it at first just because it is based on Brazil, and wanted to see how it was portrayed. And I have to say, not because it is my country, because for the most part I dislike it, but the setting worked really nicely for the show. Nice change of pace.

Although the plot is a bit weak, the anime is more about the evolution of the characters, so it was fine. Good music too, didn't you think?

(Just some side notes: The episode titles in Portuguese sound kind of pretentious if you can understand them, and while there were some instances of crappy Portuguese, most journals, letters, notes and so on were totally intelligible. Who would've thunk it!? Most character names sound a little funny too, but it's alright.

Little bits of Brazil scattered in the episodes are also charming: the yellow mailbox, the currency (which has a different name, but the design is the same), 70s Beetle police cars...)

Why does that make me think of the old Pink Panther movie's from the 60's-70's that didn't suck.
