No, but it's free, so stop bitching!
Nothing is ever truly free. You paid for it indirectly in the inflated costs of games. I'm happy to buy used stuff.

I bet Yamauchi is laughing at us from his designated place in Hell right now.

The words "rewards", "complimentary", and "free" simply do not belong in the same sentence as "Nintendo". We're all suckers for believing otherwise.

God I miss the old days... There will never be another Mario Mania.

I don't even have punch out yet. . . I'm not crazy about the prizes. How does the download come? Is it a number? Could it be held onto? I'll probably go with the hat. . .

Can the hat be worn?

Ive got alot of friends in from my ship, and from norfolk naval base that give me their registration cards because they dont want them. So it was pretty much free for me to get platinum. I got it for the next year also, and maybe enough for a year after that. I got 3 accounts with club nintendo, one for me, the wife, and the kid. They all combine points for platinum status, so it all works out. I couldnt go with punch out simply because if my hard drive ever failed, i would lose it. I guess I could save it to my little disk like my other VC downloads, but it just doesnt seem right to me. If i cant feel it, I dont want it. (with the exception of megaman 9) Plus i can wear the hat around on my ship when they have crazy hat days and be super cool. How many people in the navy can honestly say they have an authentic mario hat to wear?

I was calling NOA a whiny bitch, not somebody on the thread.

Also has anybody been having issues connecting to the Club Nintendo site? I'm trying to get my cheapo Mario hat, but I keep getting errors on nearly every one of Club Nintendo's pages.

So I think I'm going to get the Punch Out download, but I've never even hooked my Wii up to the internet. I was going to add the homebrew channel to my Wii. If I do this will I still be able to access the Wii Shop and those things?
