how many bits?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

how many bits?

Post by grittykitty »

as far as games, how many bits do you prefer yours at?
honestly, i think 16-bits is slowly becoming my preference because the games were not overly complicated or too simple for my tastes (zelda link to the past and shadowrun are my 2 all-time favorites, both are 16-bit)

I'd have to say 32 bits for me, as it was the most exciting time.

Games were highly ambitious at that time. They would either set a new standard on a certain scale or crash and burn horribly.

This is more of a "What era in gaming do you prefer?" than a graphic question. I like Four Swords Adventure on the Gamecube and that's what, 128? It's still 2D but utilizes power that could never be done on say, the Genesis. My favorite era would be when the Saturn and Playstation fought for supremacy. I loved what the Saturn could do with 2D that the Playstation just couldn't. On the other hand, I love my Final Fantasy... when I feel like actually finishing an RPG.
