Heck, notepad.

And Netflix has the option where you can watch their online movies for a fee, like the Xbox has their movie rental system for a couple of dollars... well, the selection was crap which is how I got to see M. Night's horribly 4th-walled Lady in the Water

If you want to get serious you run a MySQL stack and write a quick frontend.

I know I can use excel ,
but I wanted some place where I put in the name of the movie and then I can browse like by the cover art of the DVD. That is way more organized and cooler.

I think that flixter is very much what you're looking for in the searchable way, and that it displays the movie poster/ dvd art. It's not perfect, but it's a good place to start.

Flixter is rather confusing, IMO.

I tried to find a service like this some time ago, but failed. I wanted something along the lines of orangutag (www.orangutag.com). In it, we can click on each episode watched for a series and keep series in a watchlist. Couldn't find something as practical for movies though.

I do have a qfilme.com account, but that wouldn't work for you. The service is fine, but the site is Brazilian and everything is in Portuguese. However, I find it good that I can keep a list of watched movies along with a short review, even though I can't keep movies on a queue.
