Movie organizer

Post by RCBH928 »

Thanx for caring enough to get into this thread

I have seen many times people here posting websites where they enter their collection of games and post which ones they completed or half completed. I simply want something similar but for movies.

I hate it, there are so many good movies but every time I go to the video rental place I go blank and usually pick something I am not so excited about . Or I forgot which ones I really want to see.

Is there such a site?

I wouldn't have the time to compile a list of movies and then cross them off. I watch one or two movies a day, every day and get a lot done very quickly. To off set this, my list of things I plan to watch increases faster than I can watch them. Just remember to write everything down and keeping track of things shouldn't be a problem.

Get Netflix. You keep a queue of the movies you want to watch and work your way through them as they come in the mail (or in some cases, stream over the internet).

I thought Netflix was an America-only kind of deal. I mean, yeah, it's pretty much what he's describing, but kingmohd's in Bahrain. I kinda doubt they have a distribution system set up for over there.

I am far from Netflix anything. PLus it is not what I am looking for, any how I am moody so I like to watch certain movies at certain times not whatever comes along. Sometimes I just feel Horror, and Netflix sends in a comedy, hardly can watch it.

I know there is this app for the mac that you scan the barcode on your items and it lists them for you in the computer for you automatically, kind of neat but not what I am looking for.

I am amazed that no such thing exist, specially that more than one site has the same service but for videogames. Given that movies are more universal and larger in size and numberp, and just older as an industry. Maybe a new business idea, maybe the next google!?

If you have the time and brain power to watch 2 movies a day, you have my respect sir.

The "time" part doesn't really count here, but I watched 3 movies *in a row* flying from Europe to America.

In case anyone cares, Slumdog Millionaire -> Pink Panther 2 (the new ones, not the classics) -> The Reader.
In hindsight, I should have left Pink Panther 2 for last as comic relief, but I thought I would just see 2 movies.

flixter, which I use as an app on facebook, allows you to rate movies that you've seen, but also tag movies as "Movies I want to see" so that you can go back later and pick from that.

Hulu offers a pretty big selection of crap you can watch instantly. It's mostly crap lately, but you sometimes find some okay movies.
