This looks like the closest thing Japan will ever have to Kung Fu Hustle.

There was some crazy asian movie I meant to see about a guy who turns into a machine or something. I think there were 2 of them. They're supposed to be unbelievably gory.

Does anyone know what movie that is?

I must have read a different review somewhere or something because I had the phrase "chunks of vagina flying off" ingrained in my head. . . .

I haven't watched the trailer yet, but this topic reminded me of Ichi the Killer more than once. One of the most bizarre and needlessly gory films I've ever seen. Good stuff.

Yeah, Tetsuo: The Iron Man. It's the oddest movie about a homosexual love story I've ever watched. Some excellent use of stop animation to give a sense of movement though. I recommend watching it at least once if you're into weird films.

On a funny note, since Ichi the Killer was just brought up, the character Jiijii was actually the director of Tetsuo: The Iron Man. He also stared in the movie Marebito, which was actually a Lovecraftian horror film. I do enjoy some Japanese cinema from time to time. I'm a big fan of Miike's work. And it's hard to go wrong with chanbara movies.
