You mean, they don't give more money for games with cases? Wow, that's perverse.
About your point on collecting, I don't think things that it's really related. Most people here on Racketboy are collectors and they do sell off their games occasionally. There's a busy BST section after all, and people here sell their games for various reasons, perhaps because they only keep games they mean to play in the future, I don't know.
My point is, I thought we had evolved a little bit since previous generations. I mean, I can even understand throwing away cardboard boxes, because they look horrible after a while, and storing carts without boxes isn't much of a problem (even though I never understood either why there were Genesis/Mega Drive games without boxes). If I think hard enough, I can even see a reason for so many games without jewel cases, since they break easily. Now, DVD cases? They're resistant and practical for the most part. I really can't fathom someone looking at it and getting rid of the box.
And with internet much more accessible nowadays, we would think that people would see that boxed games with manuals command much higher prices sometimes and thus are worth keeping complete.
Any place to buy game cases and manuals?
