Wait, I missed something. You came in here to talk about buying and playing games, but then complain about the people who are interested in building complete sets for a particular console? But one of the perks of doing that is to discover all kinds of games that might have been panned by critics and the general populace, but happen to be pretty cool games in their own right. Hell, there might even be some kind of reason to check out all those sports games that nobody gives a damn about anymore. Consider the Blitz series on Nintendo 64. I never would have played a football game in my life until a friend brought it over in high school and told me it was worth checking out for the tackle animations alone. And was it?

Oh sweet merciful God yes, I've always wanted to see a defensive end suplex a forward. I felt like I could actually hear the bones snap.

Plus, there might be some redeeming factor in all those bad games. Sure, Shaq Fu isn't a good fighter, but it does have comic value, and I still get to use a basketball player to beat up a mummy. You've never wanted to see that?

This is why I like Cheetahmen, and Dragon's Lair on the NES, etc. They're so astoundingly bad that for some reason they're enjoyable in their own right. It's like in old games when your score gets too high and it just resets.

I should have explained myself clearly. I have nothing against people discovering new games, I myself pick up games that have been given horrible reviews and given them a chance. When I was a kid, I would rent a game to see if I enjoyed it. If it was a game that I enjoyed, I would purchase the game.

MY MAIN POINT IS THAT GAMING IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE ENJOYED, I WANT TO PLAY A GAME THAT I WILL ENJOY.

MY MAIN POINT IS THAT GAMING IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE ENJOYED, I WANT TO PLAY A GAME THAT I WILL ENJOY. I AM NOT STATING THAT PEOPLE SHOULD LIKE WHAT I LIKE, PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT TASTE. PEOPLE SHOULD DIVERSIFY THEMSELVES, AND TRY NEW THINGS IN LIFE.
